Jana Kramer cannot believe her ex Mike Caussin feels bitter towards her over her choice to file for divorce — due to his infidelity.
During Tuesday’s episode of her Whine Down podcast, the 37-year-old country crooner opened up about the former football player’s feelings, revealing he has expressed “so much resentment” during their recent court proceedings.

She revealed to guest Dorinda Medley:
“It’s definitely hard and it’s one of those things where sometimes, like, the process with us has been really challenging because there is that betrayal. He has so much resentment.”
Again, this is coming from the guy who cheated on his ex-wife multiple times throughout their marriage. The momma to kiddos Jolie and Jace continued:
“I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. You’re the one who hurt me. How are you being mean to me? This doesn’t add up to me.’”
Same, girl! Sometimes guilty people lash out — it’s easier than accepting responsibility.
Jana then begged the former Real Housewives of New York star for some advice on how to navigate the tough moments in a divorce, saying:
“I’m losing my mind. I’m like, ‘There’s a million mean things I could say to [Caussin].’ But I’m choosing to be kind.”
That must be incredibly difficult to do given the duo’s tumultuous history. As you may know, Kramer announced in April that she was filing for divorce from Caussin after six years of marriage. In a court filing later, the One Tree Hill alum cited “inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences, and adultery” as the reasons behind the separation. The two had previously broken up in 2016 after it was revealed that the 34-year-old had been unfaithful. Despite eventually getting back together, a source disclosed to Us Weekly that his latest cheating scandal had been the “final straw” for Jana. Understandably so!
On the podcast, Medley asked the Michigan native if Mike was still involved with the woman he hooked up with. While Jana didn’t address that particular question, she did admit to having some part in their marital issues:
“I have to look at myself and take some blame and accountability for the ways that I tried to — it was very hard for me to be in that marriage where there wasn’t any trust. At times I was shameful. I said mean things.”
No offense, but it kinda seems like you were right not to have any trust in him. Just sayin’…
Luckily, it’s all in the past now! And to move on from it, the singer recently hinted that she has been dating again in an interview with E! News Daily Pop. Despite her painful history with Mike, Jana confessed she’s not afraid to find a partner again because of how much she cherishes the idea of love:
“I will always fight for it. The first month when everything happened, I was like, ‘I’m not worthy of it.’ That was my thing. I didn’t think I deserved it or I’m worth it. Now, I deserve the greatest, biggest love and am excited for it.”

The American Civil Liberties Union has officially gone to bat for Britney Spears amid her conservatorship battle — and it’s calling out the court for infringing on the pop princess’ rights!
On Tuesday, the non-profit organization filed an amicus brief in support of the Toxic singer as she tries to take the steps to end the 13-year conservatorship she described as “abusive” in court last month.
The ACLU, along with 25 civil and disability organizations, filed the brief in support of the Grammy winner’s desire to choose her own attorney after her court-appointed lawyer, Samuel Ingham, resigned from the case last week. As we’ve reported, this wish is prohibited by the conservatorship, as Brit can’t sign any paperwork to get the ball rolling without the approval of her father, Jamie Spears, despite the fact that this move is an attempt to kick him out of his conservator role.

But now, the Union is here to help — and it’s even calling for Brit to be given access to assistance and tools to make her selection for her attorney’s replacement. Zoë Brennan-Krohn, staff attorney with the ACLU’s Disability Rights Project, said in a statement on Tuesday:
“Britney Spears has said that she wants to pick her own lawyer and the court should respect that wish. The court should ensure Spears has access to the tools she needs to make that choice meaningfully and to hire someone she trusts to advocate for her stated goal: to get out of her conservatorship. Spears’s right to select an attorney is not only a basic tenet of the Sixth Amendment right to counsel, but also consistent with principles of personal autonomy and agency. The California Superior Court must recognize Spears’s autonomy and the rights of people with disabilities to live independent, self-directed lives as active members of their communities.”

The line about recognizing the rights of people with disabilities is particularly powerful, as it challenges the conservatorship’s biggest argument as to why the hitmaker shouldn’t be able to choose her own attorney — and, really, why this legal arrangement should be upheld altogether.
Thankfully, experts are now pointing out why that logic infringes on Britney’s “civil liberties and dignity.” Amanda Goad, the Audrey Irmas director of the LGBTQ, Gender & Reproductive Justice Project at the ACLU SoCal, added:
“Britney’s superstardom and wealth make this an atypical case, but she has described serious infringements on her civil liberties and dignity that are all too typical for people living under conservatorships and guardianships. It’s not just about Britney. We hope that offering supported decision-making to Britney Spears can serve as a model in other cases, because all people living with disabilities or under conservatorship deserve an opportunity to make their own informed choices.”
We’ll see what the court makes of this, but we have a feeling this is a great development for Britney as the fight for her freedom continues. The ACLU are of course not the first to take up the case. Republican Representative Matt Gaetz called for a congressional hearing on abusive conservatorships based on Britney’s case, and Senators from Ted Cruz to Elizabeth Warren have likewise voiced their support for potential reform.
Who would have thought, in our divided country, that #FreeBritney would be the thing everyone could agree on??

Country singer Ashley Monroe has been diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer.
The 34-year-old musician took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the sad news with fans, revealing she has Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia. In case you don’t know, the Mayo Clinic explains that the cancer is a type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It is an uncommon variant of slow-growing cancer that causes the bone marrow to overproduce white blood cells, which negatively impacts red blood cells. This ultimately leads to fatigue, severe abdominal pain, and difficulty fighting infections. Sounds awful!

In an emotional post, the Hands On You singer explained she initially thought her problem was just anemia before later discovering she actually had blood cancer:
“A few months ago my dr. was doing some routine lab work and found that I was anemic. I was like, FINE, I’ll just double up on cheeseburger patties, take some extra vitamins and call it a day.”
However, Ashley’s red blood cell count continued to keep falling despite her B12, iron, and folic acid remaining at a normal level. This eventually led doctors to perform a bone marrow biopsy and discovered the primary reason for her health issues. Monroe said:
“It’s causing my body to be pretty severely anemic, and I feel it. So, I start chemo tomorrow. Seems like such a negative thing to say.”
Despite the diagnosis, the Pistol Annies performer is meeting the unfortunate situation with optimism. She expressed how thankful she was to have an illness that’s “VERY live with-able” before adding:
“I’m thankful there IS a treatment that actually works to fight what is causing harm to my body. THANKFUL for friends and family who have gathered around me praying and sending flowers and letting me lean on them during this super weird chapter of my life. Thankful for my angel son. Who I am fighting for the most.”
That’s the right attitude to head into this tough time with! Monroe then asked fans to respect her boundaries, stressing she only wants medical information from Vanderbilt University experts in Nashville:
“I would greatly appreciate if no one gave me any unsolicited advice or medical opinions. I’ve done my research and have amazing Vanderbilt dr’s I’ve weighed every option with. That’s why I was hesitant to post about it.”
Still, the momma also requested for all of the positive energy to be sent her way during this difficult period:
“I could use the prayers.. and I DO believe in the power of prayer guys. I also believe in the power of love healing us all on an even deeper level. I love you all big. Here I go.”
